Smoking/not smoking

Ordinarily, I would welcome a grey, drizzly night, for the opportunity it lends to do nothing, or maybe read a book. I'm in the middle of several good books. Or watch a movie, maybe, that's also something. It's not as much fun to do nothing since I quit smoking, because smoking lent a sense of purpose to the art of doing nothing. It would be a stretch to say that smoking gave me a sense of purpose. Wait. No, it wouldn't.
